​Staff and History

To ensure the highest level of quality and service for our clients, our staff consists of individuals with expertise in compliance, title, mortgage banking, internet technology and other related areas with long tenures at Schwartz & Associates.  Each member of our staff has an in-depth knowledge of the constantly changing statutes and regulations and how they apply to our clients.  Our clients find our staff knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile.

Schwartz & Associates believes communication is the key to a successful closing experience. We promise to handle each file with professionalism and to keep you informed throughout the process. We are devoted to providing our clients with timely, compliant and accurate document preparation and fulfillment services. We are committed to quality and customer service.

Our office is located in McKinney, TX and operates between 8:30am and 5:30pm CST.  Accommodations may be possible if you require our services outside of these normal business hours.

 

Dennis P. Schwartz, Attorney and Owner

Dennis P. Schwartz is founder and owner of McKinney, Texas-based Schwartz & Associates real estate law firm.  Since 1989, Schwartz & Associates has specialized in residential loan document preparation for mortgage lenders of all sizes.  Under Schwartz’s leadership, Schwartz & Associates has developed DocsDirect, a web-based mortgage document solution that offers the flexibility needed to handle the array of lender channels and loan programs offered by our clients. 

Mr. Schwartz was a key participant in drafting legislation and communicating with state political figures for the passage of the Texas mortgage broker licensing and the home equity constitutional amendment.  He is an active member of the State Bar of Texas, Collin County Bar Association and the Independent Bankers Association of Texas and currently serves on the Tarrant County Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee.

Mr. Schwartz began practicing law in 1976 with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s office.  From 1977 until 1983, he was a litigator in a general practice law firm.  He began his focus on real estate law in 1983 and in 1989 devoted his practice to residential real estate lending document preparation representing banks, mortgage bankers and wholesale lenders nationwide since 1989.

After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from Sarah Lawrence College in 1973, Mr. Schwartz received his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in 1976.


 

Christine Sisseck, Operations Manager

Christine Sisseck is the Operations Manager at Schwartz & Associates and has been with Schwartz & Associates for over 25 years. Employed in the mortgage industry since 1985, she has a wealth of knowledge related to residential real estate regulations and compliance matters, as well as experience in all phases of loan production, closing, and operations.  Her expertise, attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in document preparation have been instrumental in bringing Schwartz & Associates from a start-up operation to a national document preparation firm with a reputation for knowledge and quality. 

Prior to Schwartz & Associates, Ms. Sisseck worked at Merrill Lynch Mortgage, First Union Mortgage, and Gregory Gregg & Associates. She attended Missouri Southern State College in Joplin, Missouri.

 

Brett Mow, Director of Information Technology

Brett Mow is the Director of Information Technology at Schwartz & Associates.  He also is the architect behind the industry-leading DocsDirect documents platform.  As Director of IT, Mr. Mow is responsible for overseeing day-to-day DocsDirect operations and managing long-term technology projects. He has served in this capacity since 1994 and has been instrumental in keeping Schwartz & Associates current with advances in information technologies by developing all critical system enhancements. 

Prior to joining Schwartz & Associates, Mr. Mow was a compliance specialist with Lomas Mortgage. He received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from Vanderbilt University.

Steve Manente, Associate Attorney

Steve Manente is an associate attorney at Schwartz & Associates.  As a member of the compliance department, he provides guidance and training to both clients and staff related to regulatory and legal issues, drafts opinion letters related to client questions, and reviews trust agreement and power of attorney documents.  He is currently serving as the legal lead in our TRID development and implementation team.
 
Mr. Manente received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Colorado and his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law.


Stacy Tomson-Cooper, Production Manager

 

Stacy Tomson-Cooper is the Production Manager at Schwartz & Associates and has been a part of our team since December, 1995.   Using critical thinking and problem solving skills, Ms. Tomson-Cooper manages the daily production and workflow for Schwartz & Associates.  She oversees our McKinney, on-site and fulfillment production groups, working directly with the group supervisors and communicating with client on various issues.

 

Ms. Tomson-Cooper is a graduate of Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics.
